Geospatial Corporation to Present at EnerGIS 2014 Conference
Geospatial Corporation is proud to be a silver level sponsor of the EnerGIS 2014 conference, with CEO Mark Smith presenting our technology.
Geospatial Corporation is proud to be a silver level sponsor of the 2014 EnerGIS conference in Canonsburg, PA on September 15-16, 2014. The yearly event hosted by Range Resources addresses geospatial and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) technologies and needs within the energy industry.
Topics this year will focus on, among others: wind power, oil and gas field development, GIS mobility for natural gas utilities, web based GIS applications for electrical transmission systems, and cloud-based data management solutions.
Geospatial Corporation's CEO and founder, Mark Smith, will be presenting at the conference alongside Mike Hopkins of Vantage Energy at 10:45 am on September 16. The topic is about how Geospatial used advanced electromagnetic technologies to gather highly accurate (less than 10cm) X,Y and Z positional data on buried natural gas pipelines and allowed Vantage Energy to manage that data on a cloud-based GIS system.
This year’s keynote is from Quan Vu, Director of Technical Product Marketing at Tableau Software, who will discuss how to tell a great story with data. Day two’s feature presentation is an overview of GIS at the West Virginia Geological & Economic Survey, given by Tony Simental, the West Virginia State GIS Coordinator and State Broadband Mapping and Planning Program Coordinator, and Susan Pool, Geologist and GIS Analyst.
